About The Summit The 2022 Genius STEM Summit will take place on 9th April from 9am to 6pm CAT under the theme "Integrating Art to propel STEM innovation. Forging a new world, a new future. " This year’s Summit will comprise of 2 parallel sessions of panel discussions in the main room and art performances and/or fireside chats in the session rooms. All sessions will be recorded except for the networking sessions. The Genius STEM Summit is an annual event hosted by Genius Education Zambia. The summit is a global event that fosters cross-country idea sharing, brainstorming and conversations about STEM. The first ever Genius STEM Summit was hosted in 2021 through partnership with Global Changemakers. The summit, took place on 8th and 9th May 2021 under the theme - “STEM and the SDGs- Where are we now?” The Summit was a Global Changemakers event (GCMx) involving hands-on design thinking activities that culminated into a live pitching session on day 2. Other activities were panel discussions, presentations and a debate session from the Copperbelt University medical students. The Summit attracted a total of 100 participants from 20 different countries. Day 1 of the Summit was a closed door event accessible to selected candidates. During that period, participants were placed in breakout rooms and were tasked with a design thinking workshop using the Global Changemakers format. Day 2 was open to the public, bringing in participants who joined in live on ZOOM and also Facebook.
